Saba Ahmed
Saba Ahmed is a Staff Attorney with the Defending the 麻豆视频作品Dream Initiative (鈥溌槎故悠底髌稤ream鈥) of the Immigrant Justice Clinic at the 麻豆视频作品 Washington College of Law. Saba joined 麻豆视频作品Dream in 2021 and provides free legal services to undocumented college students in the DC area. The work of 麻豆视频作品Dream is funded by a generous donation by 麻豆视频作品Alum William I. Jacobs.
Saba began working with asylum seekers and refugees in Cairo and California over a decade ago. Upon graduating from law school, Saba worked as an immigration attorney with the Capital Area Immigrants鈥 Rights Coalition in DC. Saba provided immigration legal services to individuals who were being held in immigration jails in Maryland and Virginia while in deportation proceedings. She represented clients before the immigration courts as they applied for bond, asylum, cancellation of removal, and other forms of legal relief. For the three years prior to joining AU, Saba was teaching and supervising law students in immigration clinics in New York City and DC.
